Professional development

Our GP Liaison team hosts Continuing Medical Education seminars for General Practitioners, physiotherapists and other health professionals. Seminars are held in the morning and at lunchtime, are fully catered and free of charge.

Guest speakers include consultants with practicing privileges at The Lister Hospital, Chelsea Outpatient Centre or Chelsea Consulting Rooms.

Certificates are provided at all seminars for the purpose of CPD credits.

Breakfast seminars

Breakfast seminars are held at The Lister Hospital for General Practitioners, physiotherapists and other health professionals.  They take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with a continental breakfast served from 7.25am; presentations begin at 7.40am and conclude by 8.20am.

Lunch seminars

If you can’t make it to our breakfast seminars at The Lister Hospital, we will happily bring our consultants to your GP practice. We’ll work with you and your practice to determine your topic of interest and then find the most appropriate consultant to deliver you a presentation on this topic. We’ll then arrange to come to your GP practice on a day and time suitable to you.

Practice Development Forum

The Lister Hospital’s Practice Development Forum aims to facilitate the training and development of Practice Managers and medical secretaries, within the private healthcare sector. The Forum will provide you with a network of support, giving you a platform to share your information, ideas and views on the smooth running of practice life.  The education will be on topics requested by you, for you.

The events will consist of short presentations from the Forum Chairperson or Education Lead and guest speakers followed by Q&A sessions.
