HCA wins its second Queen’s Award for Enterprise
HCA International Ltd, which owns The Lister Hospital and 5 other leading private hospitals, has won the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, 2009.
HCA International was chosen because it has doubled its annual overseas income in six years to almost £63 million. Its hospitals and diagnostic centres now treat patients from 52 countries with many travelling from Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Cyprus, Pakistan and Russia.
HCA International President and Chief Executive, Michael Neeb, said the achievement was a reflection of the outstanding standards of healthcare provided by leading consultants and specialist teams across the group:
“To win this award for the second time in just a few years is tremendous! It shows that our major ongoing investment in the latest technology and the capabilities of our highly experienced medical teams complements the reputation of London as a centre of medical excellence,” he said.
“We are privileged to work with some of the most distinguished consultants and physicians in Europe in providing the highest quality patient care to these overseas patients,” said Mr Neeb.
“Our visiting doctors schemes, where we take consultants overseas to participate in conferences and teaching seminars, continues to be well received and my thanks go to all our doctors and staff and to our overseas partners who have all helped us to achieve this accolade.”
